Lord Wesley Pestano
Show biz career
Wesley Pestano, now Lord Wesley Pestano, started his show business career as a standup comedian and impressionist in his mid-teens. Working in pubs and working men’s clubs around the UK. His love for Hollywood musicals inspired him to start learning tap dancing to emulate his idols Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire.
His talent was soon obvious and he wanted to take acting and dancing seriously. He gave up studying to be a Lawyer to become a full-time professional dancer and actor and all-round entertainer. He was regularly seen in Film, TV, and performed in many of the top theatres in London’s West End and was famous in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Wesley also appeared as an action actor in fight scenes in James Bond’s Octopussy with Roger Moore.
